In the 50's it was common for a woman to stay home and let the man make the living. Mamie was a reflection of the times.
Hillary can run the country and have Bill stand by her side, they are equals, and that's a reflection of our times today.
We've come a long way in 60 years, about time, huh?

Ike was president in the 1950's. It is the year 2007 almost '08. Pretty big difference.

Clinton gave Hillary way too much room when he was President. Women may seek office all they wish to, but, they need to remember to support their husbands and not try to compete or be "equals" at all endeavors when a man is successful.
