piercings or tattoos?

I like both but in moderation. I do think that tats should be where they can be covered if need be. I don't know why, but in the business world you are looked down on with tats. So get 'em if ya want them, just make sure you can cover them if you have too! I look at it like this, its your own decision and you have to live with it. I think to each their own. Every one is different and it can show individuality.

i'm gonna go with tattoos. piercings are ok, but i think they're kind of a fad now and there's really only so much body you can pierce. piercings were popular in the 90s and early 2000s, but i think their popularity is waning. i personally love tattoos. they're an age old traditional means of expression with endless possibilities. i've had piercings, all of which i've removed upon getting a real job. unless your goal is to work at hot topic forever, which is totally fine, then pierce it up. but people don't take pierced people seriously in the business world, it's sad but true. at least a tattoo is concealable.

it cracks me up when i see questions on here like "should i get my tongue pierced?" and i think to myself "my god, i did that like 10 years ago and i'm not even old. i can't believe people still do that."

am waiting to get a tattoo. get as many as wanted -- as long as they're a work of art when put-together (ie; not a cartoon character with meaningful, ancient symbols). piercings: tongue & "genitalia" piercings aren't kewl. i like nice, complimentary piercing(s) -- such as, several earrings for each ear; thru the wall of the nose in the corner by the front (maybe a tradition in india?). but a ring or "wand" thru both nostrils is gross, detracting from ones natural good looks. i prefer tattoos where they can be seen. after all, isn't that the point to show your message or sign of identity? (for instance: back of hands; between elbow & wrist; on the chest across the clavicle area). my tattoo will be between the elbow and wrist; a second would be on the other arm, same place.

Ear piercings can be cute and fun way to express your self. And professinals dont mind it

Lip/nose/eye brow/ belly / high ear piercing - Unprofessinal and can sometimes never go away.

Tattoos - I love tattoos but i would want to get one in a place that can be covered up. Like middle back, theigh, butt, and if you wear your hair down you can get a tattoo on the back of your neck.

Tattoos - Dont get something pointless. Like having the Jonas Brothers on your forhead. Maby in the next minute they could be the "gayest" thing since nsync. Make the tattoo mean something. Like a death, your childs name, or just something cute and simple, like a butterfly on your back or puppy tracks on your ankle.

I like both. I have various piercings in my ears only. I had a belly piercing but got to fat for it. I got a tongue piercing but work had issues with it. So I stick with putting more holes in my head. I got my first tattoo over Thanksgiving week 2007.

I like both if they aren't too excessive. Well actually I don't mind excessive tattoos if they are quality artwork. More than two or three piercings is just gross. I have one tattoo and no piercings. I used to have my labret, lip, eyebrow, nose, and nipple pierced. I grew out of that phase, though....

As far as getting a good job with piercings and tattoos I own a business, I have 2 tats, my ears are pierced twice and right now I have a small hoop in my nose, I'm doing quite well for myself

Piercings, tattoos are permanent ... and no matter what people say I highly doubt that some people will really want certain things still when they are 60.
