Ahhh PAW thing!....I think you need to keep HOUNDing her, and POINTER in the right direction, otherwise she could end up in a TERRIERable state. My friend JACK RUSSEL can SETTER up with a PACK that includes jogging PANTs, and together with your PUGnaciousness she`ll soon RETRIEVER self esteem.

Tell her she shouldn't let herself be leashed by those thoughts. She might end up a poodle on the floor.
She should whippet and move on.

If she's worried about the weight, perhaps she should become a boxer. The last thing she needs to do is chow chow down.

Just make sure you tell her nicely or you might end up in the doghouse.

EDIT

Why are people not getting this? Its a form of word game!

Tell her to pony-up some some intestinal fortitude, and go horse-around some. She's floundering in a sea of self pity, to no porpoise at all. At least you aren't being catty towards her, and taking advantage of the fact that she's not feline very good about herself.

Doesn't sound like she wants answers; just sympathy.
But, let her know that the majority of animals & people go through the baby fat stage throughout puberty. It is the body's way of staying healthy with 'stored backup' if and when sick.
In the meantime, find disguise clothing so it is less noticeable.
