Petitions signed by students never accomplish anything. You should have gotten your parents to talk to the teacher about the situation.
As for the actual grade- YOU earned the 10 on the quiz. If she wouldn't have let you retake the quiz, your grade would still be yours, and your Beta club membership would still be in jeopardy. You wouldn't have a foot to stand on since you earned the grade fair and square. Ask her if there are any additional assignments you can complete to help your average. If there aren't, you'll just have to accept the fact that you won't be on the honor roll. If there are, do them and get your grade back up to where you think it should be.
The real issue is with her attitude and irreverence for her students. As a professional, she should know who is in ESL and who isn't, and she should never assume a student has a language barrier simply because of their race. I think you and your classmates should speak to the principal regarding her behavior. It may not change anything now, but you could be helping other students in the future.

So...are you angry that she made a mistaken assumption that you are ESL or because she gave you the grade you deserved since you are clearly not ESL and obviously did not study enough to pass the first time?
Sounds like you don't want to be categorized because of your ethnicity, yet you want a grade you didn't earn because your teacher made an assumption that you may not have understood the material the first time due to language issues. She's not discriminating, she was trying to provide you with a second chance because she thought your trouble was due to language barriers. Its not due to language barriers - as you were so quick to point out -so you are getting the grade you earned. If she gave you the grade from the 2nd test (after you'd seen the first one and had more time to study) she'd be discriminating against every other student in the class because she allowed you an opportunity for a better grade (that you didn't deserve) and not them.

Not, really, she didn't discriminate you. But she did make you take the quiz again for no reason.
Drop her class. Doesn't matter if you're a honor roll student or whatever. Kicked off the club? What school are you going to?
I'm Asian, I never had trouble with teachers talking to me about ESL. The thing is, you should've done better than a 10.
Talk to your counselor, or principal. It's not something you and your friends can handle.

Go talk to your administrator and explain the situation in a calm way. I agree with the previous answer in that, it was wrong to agree to let you take the make-up test only to dismiss that grade upon the realization that you are not an ESL student. It seems biased if not outright discriminatory.
It's important that you handle these things with a high level of maturity so that there is more of a possibility that the administrators take you seriously. It isn't going to bode well if your expose your disdain for the teacher when lobbying for your grade. Just take a deep breath and handle the situation as best you can with the school's administration and good luck.

They would probably have that information in their files. I don't see discrimination but I do see someone who maybe thought you had a little trouble with the English and was kind enough to give you another shot at it. Stop looking into something that probably wasn't there in the first place.

So, what happened that you were able to improve the score from a 10 to an 80? Did you study more? It seems like that is the issue. Your teacher's assumption about your language status does not mean she discriminated against you. If anything, she discriminated FOR you. You might try studying more.

Sounds like she made an honest mistake. She probably has to keep track of 150 students and their backgrounds.
Maybe you should study more so you don't score a 10 and then look for a way to blame it on your teacher.

You sound like an arrogant little prick.
Teachers have all the information they need about students - and whether you are ESL or not is important and not a secret to be hidden.
