I love the theme song from "One Day at a Time". I actually listen to it like a song.

WKRP in Cincinnati (End Theme)
Welcome Back Kotter (Welcome Back)
All in the Family (Those Were the Days)
Cheers (Where Everybody Knows Your Name)
Friends (I'll Be There For You)
Monk (It's a Jungle Out There)

You might also consider M*A*S*H, whose theme song (Suicide is Painless) does have words - but not the version that is used on the TV show.

I'm not considering CSI (Who Are You?), CSI:Miami (Won't Get Fooled Again), and Vegas (Viva Las Vegas) because their theme songs were not written for the shows.

And one, instrumental only, which happens to be my favorite:
Hill Street Blues

Fraggle Rock
Cheers
Friends

My all-time favorite is Sanford and Sons (but it has no words).
