First off they will take a history of your medical past. Do vital signs. Ask if you use birth control, problem you have, when your menstrual cycle is, and answer any questions.

You will be in a gown usually with an extra sheet for a cover. They usually start with the breast and feel for any lumps etc. and ask if you do month exams or they will show you how to do it correctly.
Next they will insert a finger in you to feel your ovaries etc. It does hurt. They also will feel your stomach for any lumps etc. Some doctor do that last so it is up to them.
Next the speculum goes in and you won't feel any pain just a pinch when they swab your cervix. The whole process from start to finish is about 10 minutes.
If you feel uncomfortable you can ask for a chaperon.

It is just one finger. If they find something wrong they may order a ultrasound or something to get a closer look.

First off, I am sorry....my daughter was born with ovarian cysts the size of golf balls. She does not have her left ovaries now. Her last ultrasound could not even find her overie. The doctor will do A PAP SMEAR TEST AND A PHYSICAL TEST(feel inside the vagina). Yes it's uncomfortable, but should not hurt. If it does, tell the doctor to stop, and tell her you are in pain. Again good luck, and I'm sorry your going through this.

Yes, the doctor will take a quick feel inside as they push down on your tummy.

Okay I'm fifteen and went for the first time when I was fourteen. First, you need to relax. They are going to spread your legs and put a big sheet over them. They don't strap you down (somebody told me that once). Then they are going to take this tool that kind of looks like, idk what, and they are going to use it to open your vagina. It may feel slightly uncomfortable, but it doesn't hurt. They put some kind of gel stuff on that to make things go smoothly. They're going to look around in there and check things out, and before you know it, it's over. So, just relax.

As for what they ask, I don't really remember. The obvious questions would be about if you are sexually active, do you drink, smoke, etc.

Hope I helped. Don't worry.
