and every website I've read says that they stay hidden and you'll never actually see them. Well, mine comes out and runs around like we're having play time. And it won't go anywhere near the traps. I moved them to his favorite spot (in my closet) and now he just hangs with me in the living room instead. Is there anything else I can do to get rid of it?

Scatter some corn meal on the floor. When the mouse eats and then drinks water its stomach will expand and can't run around anymore. After that just pick him up by the tail and take him out of the apartment.

Dont use the old fashion mouse traps. Use those sticky ones, and place them along the side of the walls. That way when he runs by them, it will get stuck.

ALso...look around in your closet or under each of your sinks to see if you see the hole where he came from. Pack the holes shut with some steel wool. They like peanut butter better than cheese. Oh yeah, look under the cushions of your couch and vacuum.

We had this problem where I work, the maintenance guy bought some stuff at the hardware store that he spread on the mouse traps....they really liked it and were caught quickly..

Call an exterminator. Also, instead of using cheese in the traps try peanut butter.

Borrow a Mouse catching cat for the weekend. Either the kitty gets the bugger or the bugger will be so freaked he'll hide for a while.
