I want to open up my own gentlmans club, I have the building layout plan all ready created. What are the things I need to worry about in order to open it other than the obvious, financing, and hiring of the dancers?

The biggest thing is zoning. Is your building zoned for that? You need security, but ones that won't constantly hit people. I think you probably want a liquor license. these take some time to get, and you may need to offer food as well, depending on your liquor laws, or you would need to be a private club. Then there are business licenses.

Do you have a business lawyer?

permission

exotic dance clubs aren't permitted in most areas of my city, nor in most areas of neighboring cities. I think the law requires they be located at least 1000 feet from every school, park, and library [places where children congregate] -- that almost always means in some industrial warehouse zone as those are the only qualifying areas.

btw, it is a lot easier to make money in something like that if you can sell alcohol -- which also requires licences.

In my city Gentlemans clubs are strictly zoned by the city. There's only a certain number allowed in the city.

You'll need a liquor license and a bouncing staff.

Now here's the problem. Are you comfortable with organized crime and dealing with gangs? Most strippers are controlled by organized crime - at least in my city - Toronto.
