Well, chemical weapons are a type of WMD, as are biological and nuclear weapons. I think there is an actual definition of them somewhere that's along the lines of a weapon that isn't really targeted and kills indiscriminately over a wide area.

WMD (Weapon of mass destruction) is ANY weapon that can be used to deliver mass amounts of damage or death.
Chemical weapons don't do alot of physical damage, but do have the potential of killing large number of people as a single time and are therefor a WMD.

WMD destruction fall in to three main categories:
1. Nuclear
2. Chemical
3. Biological
In the Army to prepare for them being used against us we trained in what was called CBR training (chemical, Bio, Radition)

Yes many are chemical agents designed to poison or root you inside out, or killing certain organs like the lungs. There are bio-weapons that have the same effect and are extremely transferable.
Then you got th a-bomb some yielding nuke
Neutron bomb that just kills people
and the nuclear bomb that will be the world end-er, if one is used it's like lays potato chips you just can't use 1.

They can be. Something to think about. Chemical weapons are illegal if used by the military against the enemy,but legal for cops to use on US citizens.
