People can only give their opinions here unless they are ghosts.

I believe you need to think about your definition of "life". I believe we certainly undergo a change. In the most literal translation we become matter that becomes part of other creautures and plants, so yes there is life. In fact as our skin cells fall off and parasites consume us, we are becoming parts of other creatures even as we sit here and type. Maybe your question is "Is there consciousness the way that i know it now, after life?" Are trees conscious? Is it a higher form of consciousness than what we experience now? I think we can pretty confidently assume that consciousness as we know it will change after death. No one knows what it would be like. Christians believe there is a place called heaven, but they go into details of what actual consciousness is like there. I think most people just assume you stay the same, but your body falls away. I think this is very unlikely. Hindus believe in reincarnation. I assume then that they believe that their consciousness is limited by the mental capacity of the creature or plant that you are being reincarnated into. I think it can be assumed that you do not retain memories in this soul transfer.

So anyway, what is the easiest most comforting thing to believe. This is what you really want to know right? I find it difficult to believe in any of these theories because they seem like they were invented by people a long time ago just to comfort people. But why cant we be comforted in reality now that we are more aware? Yes there is life after death as we are transformed from human form back to matter again and then reformed into a myriad of plants and and animals and things. It is a beautiful, amazing thing and we shouldn't be afraid. We will always be here.

I honestly believe there is and maybe that's because i am a christian however all i know is that you just have to have faith that one day God will come and take us from this place and give us that great paradise. However if you don't believe and you don't see the point of having faith in such things then how could you see there being life after death so you would basically live until you die. I can't tell you what happens after death because i am still alive so just have faith and if not, just live and don't worry. There's nothing you can do about that then, so what's the point of worrying about it now?

Yes. Not only does every major religion on earth preach "life after life" but many metaphysical persons also teach it. Read the book by that title: "Life After Life". All that stuff about going through a tunnel of light, etc.

According to physics - energy continues. Example: A plant takes energy from the sun and converts it into growth material; a person eats the plant - and even though that kills the plant - the energy becomes a nutrient for the person - if the person dies, the energy can continue in some other form. So - all religious concerns about the soul aside - you can take comfort in knowing your energy still hangs around.

if there is ,and your soul lives on after your body drops away then surely your clothes will be too loose fitting. No, It's just a fancy dream to make us behave while we are here, to make us think we can move on to heaven, etc. But unfortunately this is it, can you imagine how overcrowded the afterlife would be considering how many people have gone before us.

All evidences we have right now show us there is no such a thing. I would love to live after dying but considering evidences I'll try to stay alive as long possible.
