I always give my 10 year old son extra money for lunch just in case he wants something extra at school. He came home from school a few days ago with a note from his teacher stating that he had been the highest contributor in the class for donating money to the "Angel Tree" fund. When I asked him how this happened because he had never asked me for any money or said anyhing to me about what his class had been doing, he said, "I'm sorry, mom. I just didn't need my extra lunch money so I gave it to my teacher for the kids who needed it."
I could not be more proud of my little guy for giving and keeping it to himself.

Awww...how sweet!! You must have raised him well, Lisa! It's unbelievable how children are more giving and caring than grown adults. We are doing a fund-raiser at the bank to raise money for a local food pantry and you wouldn't believe how many won't even donate their 4 CENT change!! Four pennies! and they say "no, thank you" when asked if they want to donate it! (but they will eagerly take the free candy canes!)
Good for you for raising such a compassionate little guy. Thats so awesome! =)

AWWWWWWWW! That is so awesome! My son also did something kinda unexpected this year- he is 17 and he came home from the bank with two names he had gotten off the tree there for unfortunate kids with no Christmas Gifts.......it made me cry to see the one little girls wish was for a winter coat! So he spent his allowwance on giving them gifts!!!!!! It sounds like u did something right raising that little man of yours!!!! Im glad I did too! Have a wonderful and Happy Christmas! Try to find him a special Christrmas ornament with an angel just for him to add to your tree at home so he can always remember the wonderful thing he did!

My kin and that i activate Christmas music, bake cookies whilst we beautify the tree, examine the Christmas tale contained in the Bible, then pass using around gazing the Christmas lighting fixtures fixtures. Busy night, yet incredible for the kin.

A mom would have to be crazy to not be absolutely bubbling over proud of a little guy like that. You have obviously instilled some great values in your son.

I am proud for you! That is awesome. Make sure your little man gets a little extra something under the tree or in his stocking for his generosity and unselfishness.
You are doing something right.
