Eyota Xin - We have a free press in the US so it won't happen here. Not the same in Russia. They have state controled "news".

That is so funny.
I had a professor that went into great detail about this (he currently does not teach, rather he works for the US Government in D.C.). There are many striking similarties between the two.
Each served 3 terms in a Chancelor position, and each were chosen to be President by the men they served directly under.
Each possess a fervor for nationalism.
Each have anti-semitic sentiments.
Each believed in controlling the press.
Each believed the government should control the Military Industrial Complex.
Each dissolved portions of the government to solidify their control.
Each formed parties as a platform of implementing their agenda.
Each policed the public with an Iron fist that was near invisible.
Now Putin hasn't gone as far as exterminating Jews, though he has called for a "mass exit policy' for the jews in Russia.
This was just a taste of it. I think this is quite interesting. Definitely something worth writing a book about....or at least a term paper.

Hardly. If you are going to judge by efforts on the part of political leaders to indoctrinate youth, then you would have to consider virtually all regimes equivalent to Hitler. Take a look back in history at the actual reasons for the creation of the Boy Scouts in the UK and US--the specific and stated goal was to inculcate the "vales" of racial purity and white supremacy (I've nothing against the Scouts of today--but that is howthe organization started). So--was Teddy Roosevelt an early Hitler?
I don't approve of PUtin's actions--but get real--a stinkerhe may be (andis)but he'sno Hitler.

Russia is free now. So anyone is doing what he or she wants. Anything is permitted. This prompted a lot of organizations to pop up starting from ultra right political organizations to the very left ones. They call themselves as they want: Putin's youths. New Russia etc. Crazy folks, what can I say? Normal people are working or studying. Putin probably knows about that happening but what can he do? He is not a dictator to crackdown on all these activities, right?

He's in training. My hope is he gets a more serious look under a large microscope after the Time cover. Thanks for the good links. He is another reason we need a next President with the "right stuff" to stay focused on these guys. Beyond the economy to me foreign concerns are way more important. Merry Christmas Ghost of our future !

Wow. merciless, merciless mom and father. I imply what have been they thinking! What do they think of that toddler is going to do the the remainder of his lifestyles. did no longer they think of of the way that could impact him fairly than being selfish and naming him that because of the fact they "cherished it"? you in basic terms do no longer do this. What are the possibilities that they could have named him that if there wasn't already the notorious Adolph Hitler. it quite is faulty that the keep denied them however. it quite is fairly lots unconstitutional.

If Hitler hadn't invaded most of Europe and hadn't tried to kill all the Jews then the fact that he loved the German people and wanted to raise them up out of the pit of despair that was their lot after WWI then his positive aspirations would be remembered and then, yes, Putin could be compared to him.

I agree with Holy Cow, although I do think that he's dangerous and is trying to force Europe into accepting Russia as a superpower again. Hopefully cool heads will prevail. We certainly don't need another cold war.

Id say bush is much closer to that analogy than Putin.
You don't see Putin waging an unprovoked war of aggression do you.

No,but why does he want to come back as prime minister while manipulating one of his cronies by using the secret organization known as the (FSB) so he can come back as president? Just seems so...odd.
