Curt Schilling called on Roger Clemens to give up the four Cy Young Awards he's won since 1997 if he can't clear his name from allegations that he used steroids to prolong and enhance his career.
Who thinks that schilling is right on with this statement. Remember he called out Bonds too.

I know that Clemens isn't giving them back but what if selig grew a set and took them back and gave them to Pedro Mark Mulder and Randy Johnson the second place people. Just like the IOC did with marion jones

I don't think it is right. Clemens received the awards and let be part of the history of the game if he is found to have cheated.

We need to remember that other players - lesser know and not as good - have been caught in this scandal so it obviously just isn't like you take a drug and become a Roger Clemens or Barry Bonds. And if I had a vote for the Hall of Fame, I'd still vote for both of them.

Being known as a player who used illegal drugs to gain an advantage on the field is going to be the "punishment" (if that's the word you want to use) for these players found. They will always know that they cheated the game and the fans will, too...Clemens' "iconic status" has already been blackened. I'm sure that's worse than giving back any award for a proud, professional athlete.

Schilling is an overbearing blowhard, but I do agree with him on this. But why doesn't he call out his ex-teammates on the list, like Matt Williams. They were teammates at Arizona and won a World Series. Should he give back his ring because he benefitted when Williams production was due to steroids and HGH. He's walking a slippery slope.

I can name a handfull of pitchers that are more deserving of the Cy Young award than Curt Schilling. Johan Santana, Chein-Ming-Wang, Roy Halladay, C.C Sabathia, and the saves leader Francisco Rodriguez. And one of those 5 pitchers can win it and personally, i want to see Johan win it because he leads the American league (currently) in wins, and earned run average.

No way this would happen...how far do you take it....Schillings Diamondbacks had Matt Williams on the team....he is on the list....does he give his ring back also!....stupid idea from a man who shows everyone that he has a set but when it comes time to take the walk.....he chokes!....like he choked in front of Congress when he really had the stage all there for him to get his point....but he choked and said nothing meaningful!!!

Schilling should shut the fu#$ up. If he isn't juiced, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised. Why was he put before Congress if he wasn't one of the players being prosecuted for steroids. Schilling reminds me of Rosie O'Donnell in a way, he always has something to say & won't shut up.

moot point idiot.

Schill talks way too much, but at least he says what he thinks. Plus he says a lot more than the one sentence you keep reading here - if you actually read the blog, he's a lot more respectful and willing to give Clemens benefit of the doubt if he (Roger) were willing to stand up and defend himself (nearly impossible to do with Pettitte admitting to HGH).

He is absolutely right if Clemens is proven to have used. Accountability has lost its purpose and meaning in so many ways in this country. It would be a shame for athletes to retain honors given to them under such circumstances.

I partially agree with you. I absolutely think that Roger should give back the Cy Young awards he won, but we do not know, unless he admits it, that he used them all four years.
