she's not the first and she won't be the last. It just proves that money and fame once again don't provide what a child needs. Good supervision, and parents who care enough to pay close attention.

This is a popular question today. I think she will make it just fine. It is actually becoming more common for 16 year olds to get pregnant and she is no different from anyone else. I was pregnant at 15 and had my daughter at 16 and I still finished high school and college, and got a good job. Jamie Lynn is financially stable and is pregnant by her long time boyfriend. The Spears family has the same amount of problems as any other family in the US, it's just theirs are blasted on television and in tabloids. This family has no privacy, and every mistake they make is made into a big deal, even though we make the same mistakes. I think the people who ridicule them are either jealous of them and their lives, or they just have nothing better to do.

I would say Britney has issues going on right now but she married a man who completely took advantage of her and now is trying to destory her. She was probably embarassed after they divorced because she tried so hard to support him despite what everyone though of him and then he screwed her over. Whether her actions are right or wrong, they are a response to the way she's feeling or has been treated, not to mention the fact that she's living in front of THE WORLD.
Jamie Lynn becoming pregnant at 16 is not unormal.... it happens everyday... have you been hiding in a cave for the last decade?
I don't think it is up to you or anyone else, besides God, to determine whether their family is unormal. Every family has their secrets and problems.... they just don't all have to live it in front of the whole world.

Also, every 16 yr old has sex... if not all, then most. Don't act like you didn't! And protected or not, you can still get pregnant... Remember that.

They do...she is too young to be entering motherhood. I know so many teenage mums who love their babies to bits, but not one would choose to have them as a teen if they could have that choice again. I think that the mistakes that Britney and Jamie Lynne have made are due to them being pushed into showbiz at a young age...Lynne Spears is notoriously pushy. The pressure of being a celebrity is too much for many adults to take...for them as teens it must be very hard and when people are under pressure they do things without thinking.

She is just like any other teenage girl her age. Their family is no different either, just cause they are rich doesn't mean they have different lives from everyone else. She should keep the kid and take care of it, after all it is her mistake. Besides I'm bout to turn 19 and my mom had me when she was 16. There is no problem with it as long as the parents take responsibility.

I just feel sad for them. All the information out there to help people do the right thing and all of the professional help available and they do not have enough sense to use it? Obviously money is not the issue. It's all very disturbing.
Normal? Yeah, they are we just wanted/needed to expect more from them under the name of Good Role Models.

there are 12-14 year olds getting pregnant. Id have to say, that shes pretty "normal", at least with our current society.
its kinda sad, and sick, but hey, parents refuse to take responsibility for their children, the government makes it impossible for parents to keep their kids in line, people in general are just to dang selfish to even care,education in this country is just pathetic, and SEX is EVERYTHING, just turn on the tv, open a magazin, or walk down the street. Shes not fully to blame, her parents, our society, and our government are.

i posted this same question earlier, i think that she was so dumb 2 have unprotected sex. she's suppost 2 be a role model for kids, i thi9nk they're going 2 take her show off the air. i think shes WAY 2 young, and the spears family is going down the drain.

Normal family? i think no ones normal and there is a lot of 16 year old girls getting pregnant out there shes just another one, everyone got issues
