American celebrities face the same hurdles in adopting American born babies as those who are NOT celebrities. Also in the last 25 years or so there have been huge changes in social regarding inter-ethnic adoptions where agencies try to match placements with the same race adoptive parents. This is especially true for Native American and Black infants because of concerns that the children raised in interracial families lose their connections to their ancestral heritages.
Adoption will not reduce abortions at all. Adopting children from outside the US is not a fad... it has been a practice in fact since the mid-1950s when a lot of so-called Irish 'orphans' were brought to American to be adopted. Some were not orphans at all, but children born out of wedlock or 'unsanctioned marriages', or children of widowed parents and taken either by coersion or forcibly from their mothers and fathers.

It does seem that it would be better if they adopted American babies, however it wouldn't have any influence at all on the rate of abortions. Women don't have abortions because celebrities or anyone else won't adopt American babies. Women have abortions basically because they don't want a baby or are not ready for a baby or can't afford a baby. If you have an abortion, it is negative, but that is the end of it. If you put a baby up for adoption, then the rest of your life you know that you have a child out there somewhere. I couldn't live with that, could you?

In answer to the first question: No. People make their own decisions regarding abortion vs. adoption regardless of whether Angelina Jolie would be the one adopting their child. Or at least, I certainly hope they do! And adopting foreign children is a boon to those children. In many of the countries the celebs are adopting from, the kids cannot get proper health care, nutrition, etc. When they're adopted (by anyone in the US, but I guess especially celebs since they're rich) they are well cared for.

My husband and that i are interested in adopting a baby and we've accomplished somewhat analyze on adoption in the U. S.. We stumbled on that the policies on adoption in our us of a make issues very perplexing for prospect mothers and fathers, some situations being forced to agree on open adoption (having to fulfill the youngster's mothers and fathers) so as to get a baby. Then there is the economic side of it, because of the fact even while there are low activity loans, tax deductions and gives you obtainable for adopting mothers and fathers, the astounding invoice continues to be enormously great for an straight forward center classification kin.

I don't think it would reduce abortions, but would be a big help to foster kids. I've heard it's easier to adopt from overseas. Which makes no sense
