detective was a band discovered by Jimmy Page
he signed them to Zep's Swan Song Label
They released Two Albums in the late 70's
One More Heartache
is IMO their best song

Well, my knowledge of Metal isn't that good, so most of what I do know is hardly likely to be 'obscure' {I'm not even 100% sure which bands class as Metal!}. But... :~
