Its not the hundred thousand dollar 'rich' people we look at when we say that, its the six hundred million dollar people who are the wealthy. Your figures are seriously out of date, its takes ten million to begin to be considered weatlhy. A million dollar home isn't for the wealthy either, even in this market. They aren't poor, but they aren't wealthy either, they are just highly paid. You don't know much about Medicare either, its not free, we all pay for it from our paychecks, and its not free to get the additional coverage. Public schools are paid for by the people who live in the towns via property taxes. Wealthier areas have more income to spend on schools, but that's because their homes are more expensive. Salk with the first vaccine was connected to the University of Pittsburgh, not a pharmaceutical company.

I got 100.00 about 3 years ago..an advance on my IRS refund I believe. Since then my taxes have gone up. But even then I have to break with my " taxcut and run" fellow citizens who happen to vote for neocon Republicans. What I think has really happened is further deregulation and greater looting and plundering of the American economy has left us far worse off than we were when Bush got appointed by the Republican Supreme Court justices and stole the first election. What Bush has done for the poor and middle class is remind us what fascism looks like and how untrustworthy and dangerous authoritarian Republicans are .

other than via phony stock deals (Harken Energy) & partnership interest (Texas Rangers) deals, he was never involved in "profitable corporate work." All were losers, particularly those where he was in charge. So it's no surprise that he has been a complete failure in "public service."

I sure hope no one mentions his "No Child Left Behind". That has been one of the biggest failures in education, in years. Test scores are lower than they've been in years and fewer students are graduating from high school. He's set education back and unless the public wakes up, the US will be ranking even lower in mathematics and language arts than we are now.

Nothing unless you count that he said "Brownie" did a good job in New Orleans, and let his cronies keep their big tax cuts that the poor and middle class have to pay for.
So...he's done nothing for the working American. NOTHING
