Yes, there is a monthly fee - unless you pay for 3 months upfront .. then obviously you don't pay monthly.

It's pretty fun .. it can get addicting though. They've totally nerf'd it so it's easier to level up and stuff b/c they are getting ready to release another expansion already.

But it's entertaining - I've been playing for a bit and while I've stopped questing - I still do instances and talk to my friends who live out of state and play.

But it's like all the other MMORPGs out there - start out as level 1, pick your class and race .. then start questing to gain exp. and to level. Every 10 levels (after 1-10) has a specific instance to do with cool loot and stuff. If you choose not to be on a PvP server - you still have the option of doing PvP battlegrounds.

All in all - it's fun. Bottom line. You just have to watch your game time and not turn into the creepy guy who still lives in him mom's basement and does nothing but play his night elf rouge.

If you play Diablo 2 on Battlenet, you will love playing World of Warcraft. I suggest before buying WOW, however you go and get Warcraft III. You can get a battlechest for both the original War III and the expansion.

Play WAR III for a couple of months. That will give you the basics of the World of Warcraft Universe.

Then go out and buy a WOW battlechest. You get both the original and the expansion and you get 2 game guides. Also get a Game Card which gives you 60 days of game play.

Be careful though. If you do not have a 3D graphics accelerator..>World of Warcraft will not work on your computer.

If you decide to go to WOW. Choose the server Garona and an Alliance Character. Once in contact Dadswarrior. Thats me.

there's no reason to supply up a new child from playing WoW, or any recreation for that count number, no count number if it quite is not by some ability damaging to their own wellness. If their priorities are quickly(good grades, healthful, sparkling, and so on.), then making them play much less would surely be punishing them for something that isn't doing them any harm. it would additionally be achieveable that the recreation is likely one among the failings that keeps them in stability(Who has time to pass out and get entangled with people who would introduce them to issues like drugs and alcohol whilst they have have been given a marathon run of Warcraft to be bothered approximately?). to no longer point out you % to be of sound innovations in case you % to be an effective participant on the recreation. besides, by way of the years, possibilities are high they're going to at last grow to be bored in that and pass directly to a minimum of something else. you're saying they're getting good grades, acceptable? If it is so, then they might desire to be getting sufficient sleep to accomplish at school, which in turn ability on the least they don't seem to be playing too previous due on a daily basis. they might desire to be great for now. If ever problems upward push up that appear like the recreation would be affecting them negatively by some ability, it somewhat is whilst it somewhat is time to accomplish that.
