Does it lead to heartaches over Avatars? How can they love an Avatar?

It's not dangerous... but it can become a slippery slope. Avatars start crying. The messages become more intense. Jealousy runs throughout the body and all of the answers posted are viewed incessently. Be careful, my friend. This world of Yahoo!Answers can be quite a wild place. But seriously, People were only scared of giving out emails in the 1990s. As long as you don't open attachments, it's just words. That poem, Sticks & Stones, is a true story.

I have aquired some very good friends on this site! They email me almost everyday, and one friend is even from Northern Ireland. Her and I became such good friends, that she invited me to her home in Ireland. I flew over there for 9 days and stayed with her and her family, and had a wonderful time, and spent St. Patricks day in Dublin at the parade! I know there are lots of crazy people out there, but there are many nice ones as well! Good luck!

Good question. I would be careful about giving out your email to people you just don't know!

enableing persons to send you email from your profile does little to no harm but I wouldn't give direct email to a person until a few messages were exchanged.

I think it's just like the real world... you'll meet some people who will pester the hell out of you if you do that... but you will also meet some nice people.

I'm fairly careful and I am a martial arts expect and sniper so if anyone appears at my door their butt will be blown to heck and back. Not really.
