I dont agree, I think it's living with a person that "restores the sight"
I had lived with my husband for years before marrying him so I had alreday gotten to know the "real" him, there have been no surprises since getting married.

Two erroneous concepts
Love is not blind, it purposely ignores everything it doesnt want to see.
Marriage forces one to look closer, wartsand all.
When both happen and the two still love each other, then all is well.
