Yes,in a way... swans die because they miss their mate so much, dogs pine and sometimes die when their owners do, and lam sure something bad happened to My Frog- when l moved to Spain- they would not let me through customs-l reckon the Guard fancied him. love Jo xx

Animals dont actively commit suicide like humans. However I have known cases of animals dying of a "broken heart" when abandoned by their family - they just lose the will to live. Many times a pet will become very depressed and refuse to eat when left by its family, and (in cats especially) this can easily result in the animal becoming sick, weak and dying.

More likely the animal cannot look after itself after being dumped, that it just dies. I do not think they like to commit suicide like stupid humans.

i dont know but i want to say that they dont... they may have feelings as we can see tortoise crying when laying eggs (dunno if that related to feeling) but commit suicide, no.. they didnt even think bout that..
