Nope, they don't know me and what I am fighting for or going through. Let them say or think what they want, it is a free country. Just don't get upset when I do the same..lol. Thanks, and hope your mom is better. :)

I care very little (but some) about what the average person walking down the street thinks. My family and close friends, I care a lot about. And if they told me I was doing something that worried them or acting strange I would really take the matter to heart. I live in a big city and it is not uncommon to be yelled at and called anything from a profanity to a racial slur. It really just rolls off of me now.

Depends on the subject. I don't care about their personal opinions about people in general (they are usually wrong) because they end up stereotyping more than not. I also don't really care what they have to say about anything concerning my personal life or how I behave (I'm a law abiding citizen).

Besides the subject of people and their personal lives, I am somewhat interested in how others feel about things that go on in the world.

If you run a business you better..

On a personal level - no one wants to be misjudged.

To make the point clear - if someone thinks you slept with his wife or husband, and they point a gun at you, I'm sure you would care what they think..

On a practical down-to-earth level, your question reflects a potential dichotomy or disconnect between independence and dependence, between "live and let live" and "be mindful of others around you"...

Five thousand books can be written, some would be correct, some incorrect, and some a hybrid of the two.

At my job, I totally care 100%. If its my friends, I care about 75%. If it's my family, about 25% (just b/c they can be very judgmental). And for anyone I don't know, I don't give a sh&*.
