they have charged full price for 3 dvds, but the box the dvd's were in were found and we want to return them for a refund. what is their policy on this?

Are you talking Netflix or Blockbuster? With Netflix I had three movies I put into the mailbox to send back. None of them made it back, either lost in the mail or stolen out of my mailbox. They wrote it off as a loss and did not charge me. Never had one lost with Blockbuster, but if they will charge me for something lost in the mail I will cancel.
I would contact customer support and see what to do.
