The screen went blank and it wouldnt turn on, this should not of happened considering it was brand new

Return it. They wont send it to be fixed.They will automatically give you a new one =)=)

Hopefully it was just something wrong with that particular one, and you can replace it for a better one. Hope you have a reciept/warranty

This is perfectly normal.

iPods are very poorly made and very unreliable.

return or replace it...the warranty is still good.
