I would just suggest asking your doctor. They could probably give you the best unbiased answer. Personally, I have no idea how to safely lose weight during pregnancy. Good luck.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

This is your first step in being a mother is self-sacrifice. I'm overweight and getting married in March, I'm only 10 weeks pregnant now but I will be 6 months then. I hoped to lose weight before I got married but I see that is not going to happen. Worry about what's best for your baby and eating healthy, not necessarily about your weight.

Best thing you can do is eat properly and excercise such as walking. Other than that, you shouldn't be changing anything to gain or lose weight during pregnancy. And above all else, you should speak with your doctor, he/she will guide your properly as to what your particular pregnancy may or may not need.

First of all...you're probably not going to actually "lose weight". Because no matter what anybody says, you have to burn more calories than you take in to actually experience weight loss. Not taking in enough calories to nourish your baby and yourself can have effects on the baby (i.e. lack of folic acid can cause neural tube defects like spina bifida). I will tell you what I did. I ate healthy for my entire pregnancy and had gained 20lbs when I weighed on the day before I had my daughter. Two weeks after giving birth, I had lost the traditional 15 or so lbs that everyone loses after giving birth. After that I kept breastfeeding and my fat stores were used to create milk, so I just kept losing. 4 months after giving birth, I weighed 126lbs and had gone into my pregnancy weighing 145

Why are you being such a jerk in explaining your question? Why did you resort to calling people names?

If you want to safely lose weight during pregnancy, you can...but I'm not going to waste time talking about it to someone who insults potential answerers like you have.

you don't need to lose weight - your main concern should be not to gain a lot. I had this problem and managed fine. Fist of all, eliminate bagels and try to eat less carbs. Also, no fried food - if you have to fry, use PAM. And snack on apples, carrots and other fruit and vegetables. I gained only 17 pounds and, being on my 8th month, people around me didn't know I was pregnant. :)

Just eat healthy, drinks lots of water, avoid sugar, carbs and saturated fats.

Why oh why do we let others get to us so much?
