No of course not, think about people with mental illnesses, would a just and fair God hold those people accountable?
...........or think of someone who is tormented by disease, or abuse, or one of the other hundreds of things that ails this world.
I frankly cannot believe so, I am no biblical scholar, however, the bible does clearly state that God is a "merciful and loving God", and further that he loves us "as his own children", there is no love more profound than that of a parent (in a perfect world) so if God where to impose this punishment on person's who were already in a tortured or suffering state it would seem completely contradictory to what he has stated about love.............and isn't "love" the theme behind everything God has set forth?
If you think about it even the idea of being sent to "hell" is not something God would do.....at least not the hell most people believe in (ie) fire, brimstone, etc. To me hell means eternal death.

I know that the person contemplating suicide does not consider what they are planning as a sin! It seems like the only way out of a desperate situation! From that point on it is up to God as to whether the person has sinned and come short of the Glory of God*

I don't think that people who commit suicide are in their right minds. I think that they are experiencing a pain greater than we could ever imagine and they think it is the only way out.
With that in mind, I don't think they can be judged on their thoughts right before death. I think they are judged on their entire lives. Not the actions of a few seconds at the end.
I think that our Heavenly Father is more tolerant than some believe him to be.

Hell doesn't exist. They turn into nothing with no thoughts or feelings. It's a much worse fate. Suicide though is selfish don't do it.

If hell exists, it is only a holding area until the souls accept god and are forgiven for their sins and accepted into heaven by god. The only reason a person would remain in hell for eternity is their refusal to accept god, but if they don't believe, then hell doesn't exist to them anyway.

It´s not up to us to second guess the big tribunal in the sky however I would point out that within living memory suicide was treated as a crime in the U.K.

if your a christian most certainly the bible says you go to hell. but i dont really believe in christianity im more of a naturalist when one dies they just die they transfer thier energy to something else. thats about it. the only thing wrong with that is the moral issue. it just hurts those around. but no i dont think they go to hell.

No they don't. they are sad that it happened but they ar taken into God's love and mercy who loves us all with more power than the whole ocean has and more power than the universe holds. God loves us more than we love each other so if we would not want them to go to hell then how could God send them?
