My interests are strictly the geometry of elliptical motion. are there any good web sites that might adress this issue?

I don't know exactly what you mean by an elliptical path of an electron (closed system). In modern theory, you don't have paths at all, just regions about the nucleus where there is a high probability of electrons being located. The formula for these regions are general equations, which can be converted to secific equations by incorporation of specific parameters. By Schroedinger's probabilty density approach, there are four of these, which correspond to electron level, sub-shell type within level, specific orientation within sub-shell type, and specific magnetic orientation of the electron.
