Languages are not patented, unless you're speaking of some new computer programming language or something intellectual like that.

You can, however, create a language and name it whatever you want, and spread the word like a religious missionary in Africa!

Yes you can.

Only, you need to convince the Authorities that it's worth patenting. Better use a very good Lawyer to do this for you.

Please check out the links given below for the details of how you can do this.

The first link is for USA.

The second links gives you the worldwide Patent Offices in all the countries.

By the way, Patents and copyrights are for a limited time frame only, just in case you didn't know it.

Best of luck.

If language is defined here as speech of group: the speech of a country, region, or group of people, including its vocabulary, syntax, and grammar.

Then a new such language defined above is not among those that can be patented.

Patent the "Baby talk" language so we can understand what babies are saying when they tell you they want a toy & when you give it to them, they get mad & push it away from us. Errrr!!! Annoying when my friend's niece does that. Like, "THEN WHAD DO YOU WANT?!"

Sure, you could create a perfect language that doesn't have a million exceptions like English.
