knowing that you are happy. i can usually tell wether your faking it or not, even online. I love knowing you are happy. actually really happy.

Early morning, just before sunrise. Sitting in the duck blind hearing the masses of ducks flying overhead, wind whisking through their wings, the chatter of the mallards talking to each other, just out of sight through the fog and pre-dawn light. As the sun peeks over the horizon, the sky illuminates the trees and my decoy spread. The alarm goes off, it is legal shooting time. A flock of mallards in the distance spots my spread and I call out to them. They turn in, chattering, I talk back to them. They come in for a closer inspection, and cup their wings to land in the decoy spread. My dog is quivering with anticipation. The birds get closer, 5 feet off the water and my dog barks and dives into the lake, scaring the birds away.
I really need to take that dog to get trained, but I laugh my butt off.
