I am majoring in Histroy and having a hard time deciding wheather or not to go into History education or pick a monor. I am leaning towards picking a minor. So does anyone have any advice or suggestions for a good minor to go with a major in History.

English, Anthropology, or Psychology.
English is a solid background to have for anyone, especially if history education has crossed your mind. Anthropology would also be very beneficial and would give you a good background in understanding the cultures of different peoples and different times. Psychology is a great place to start and understand how people think and perceive situations and the reasons behind their perceptions, which would also benefit a history major. Each of these 3 would also benefit you if you ever considered law school.

MANY things go with it: Art History, Religious Studies, Anthropology, International Studies, etc.

Many of the Religious Studies and Art History classes (at least at the Uni I went to overlapped), so I would check out what classes double count for both the minor and the major.

I got a double bachelors in Art History and Religious Studies...and I think if I would have spent two more terms at the school I could have ended up with another bachelors in History.

Really the best thing is Political Science. You can teach a Government class in high schools or in college,or become involved in Politics.

I agree with the other answerers but you should definitely consider minoring in a foreign language. Arabic, Spanish, French, German, Chinese... etc.
