Pete on the other hand will be addicted for all his life, but i reckon he'll be around for another 20 years or so ........

Yes, Amy. She is a bit more reckless and doesn't seem to want to change.
Pete is obviously a nob but at least he makes a half hearted effort to sort himself out every now and again before slipping back into old habits.
Although Pete is a junky he seems to have some intelligence there hiding away that he can draw on to stop total self destruction. Amy doesn't seem to have that.
I'd say within 2 years Amy, 10 years for Pete.

I love them both but I do think Amy has a bit more of a problem as she seems very unstable while Pete while doing a lot of drugs is generally happy with things and wouldn't think of doing anything drastic like I could see Amy doing..
