My wife and I live in Iowa, and we have to make a decision.
There are plenty of people around, all shouting loudly 'Vote for me', but they are politicaians and not to be trusted. So I would appreciate adivice from someone knowledgible and impartial.

My wife works as math teacher, but as far as I know she cannot even balance her checkbook. Parents complain, but the union would not let my wife fired for incompetence.

I myself am on welfare check. I lost my job when local toy manufacturer outsourced the production to Mexico.

We do not care about abortioons, wars, and environment, we just want to make sure we will not lose our home to foreclosure.

How about make your dollar worth more?
How about make inflation stop?
How about no more Federal Reserve messing up our money's value and our mortgages?

Ron Paul is the answer

I'll say, exactly what everyone else on here will say, and has said, in response to this question. You should vote for "my candidate", regardless of your positions, because everyone else is evil, and "my candidate" is the best. America is ready for a change, and "my candidate" is the only who will change things for the better. "My candidate" will make the economy better for reasons X, Y and Z, which will help you get a new job. "My Candidate" is the one for you.

Replace "my candidate" with whoever you want. It will be the same for all of them.

You'll have to do some research yourself, you will NOT get a reliable answer here.

In all honesty, NONE of the presidential candidates will be able to get you a job...that will require your efforts.

I support Ron Paul because:

a) He wants to get us off the Federal Reserve System and back to sound money backed by actual precious metal. That will stabilize the dollar's fall against foreign money and increase its value over time, compared to the present system where it's value is tied to its PERCEIVED worth by foreign nations. Perceptions are ever shifting but actual bullion backing is not.
b) Paul wants to eliminate Federal control of education and return it to State and County oversight. In other words, people closer to and more answerable to you who, presumably, will demand better math teaching for their own Iowan children than a DC bureaucrat will.
c) As virtually all the other candidates are globalists and favor expanding foreign treaties which increase the influence of foreign government officials (who we don't elect) on America via pacts like GATT, NAFTA, CAFTA, and the proposed North American Union with Canada and Mexico, you need to support someone opposed to entangling foreign trade alliances. Ron Paul is that man.

Don't take my word for it. Visit his Website and non-partisan VoteSmart.org and look at his voting record as a Texas Congressman.

John Edwards is the candidate for you. I live in Iowa also. I campaigned for him in 2004, and have been following his campaign this year. His message on the poor, teachers, and the unemployed hasn't changed.
I am not voting for him this time around, but he really is the one you want to vote for. He is also honest and has high moral integrity.

WARNING! Taking advise from people on here about how to vote makes you a candidate for the nut house.
