Can I just put peroxide on a qtip and brush gently between my keys? I dont think I have alcohol.

Hi. The keys look kind of like a mushroom with a large surface on top connected to a shaft. When one gets sticky it is usually goop on the shaft. Most can be gently pried out and cleaned with just about anything, but I would use 91% alcohol (rubbing alcohol leaves a residue).

Don't use peroxide!

While both Peroxide and Rubbing Alcohol can be used for cleaning cuts, they are completely different in composition.

Peroxide is generally 97% water, and you do not want to use water on electronics. Granted, on a keyboard there is not much risk of damaging it, but you should still be careful unless you want to risk damaging it.

Do not use alcohol. Instead use compressed air to clean your keyboard. It is sold in any electronic store.
