But are so uncomfortable to wear that you can only wear them sitting down?

These are the cutest boots I have ever owned, they look great, felt fine in the store, then I went shopping in them....the bottoms of my feet were killing me! I guess the heels are too high, but I will try inserts before giving up the ghost on these!

I have a pair of high heeled "work boots", that are just cute, I love them, but 4" heels and I can't wear them for very long to do any major walking. They are fine if I am just hanging out, and walking on carpet, but they do not go on hard floors very well.

I also have a pair of gold high heels that are very holiday and festive but also very high heels. They are just for parties and going out where I am mostly sitting down as they have very thin soles and my the bottoms of my feet hurt if I have to walk very far in them.
I still wear them tho.

Ah, what price vanity?

But I have worn high heels all my life and am mostly comfortable in them, even walking if they are good shoes with support. My Stuart Weitzman's and Bruno Maglis are fine.

I made myself into a victim of fashion in my younger days. But now days I will not wear shoes that hurt or pants that are too tight in the waist.
I confess those even the past five years I have bought at least 3 pairs of sexy shoes that sit in the closet. I really need to donate them today so someone womens shelter will have some cute shoes for the holidays and job searches.
Thanks for bringing my hoarding to mind so I can do the right thing.

The only time I buy shoes or boots is after a long day on my feet at work ,when they are as swollen as they are every going to be and then I know they will never be too tight. Also not going to be uncomfortable because my feet will be more sensitive and tell me no, not those ones.

Anything with heels over 2 inches high kills me. I'm a mountain woman so I'm usually in boots or running shoes. I had to wear heels to my daughter's wedding and I faked it, but once the dancing started, the shoes came off!

Yes, I have a few pairs of those. I try to wear my inserts in them, and they won't even fit in them. I have a shoe/boot fetish. LOL Even though they are pretty, doesn't mean that we can wear them. I guess I am going to have to get a display shelf for all the ones I can't wear. LOL POSTED: Just for looks, Not for kicks! LOL

Buy some shoe stretchers and see if you can stretch them enough, to make them comfortable to wear.

The stretchers, do work, if you leave them in for a month or so or have someone else break them in for you. You can some times wet them enough to relax the leather.

I'm ashamed of myself. I have boxes of shoes I have only worn once.

I need to donate them to our local Thrift Store.

My feet have become so tender that the only thing I wear now, are my Best Friend slippers with the shearling lining.

A couple of years ago I got rid of those. All, but one pair. These are great evening shoes and I paid more for them than any I had ever bought before. I told my girlfriend, who was with me at the time, to make sure I am wearing them at my funeral. They're going with me!!!

No. How ridiculous to have a so called comfortable pair of shoes that you can only wear sitting down. Why have them? I have house slippers for when I am sitting down.

I have a realy cute pair of platform shoes by Steve Madden. They were given to me by a friend who ordered them but they were too small for her & she forgot to return them until she could not. They are black with rhinestones on the strap that goes across the toe. And, they add 5 inches of height to me so I love how tall I feel.
But, I am not used to platforms so I tend to walk funny.

OMG, they are some sexy shoes though!!!
