I started my own office, to help others. I guess I am a hippie or something. Well, my office went kaput. Due to lack of funds. So, if I am eligible to flip burgers, can I make the best burgers possible? For all humanity?

Some of the best advice I've ever received is "pick your battles." If making a damn fine burger is what it takes to inspire the next Ghandi . . . . wait, bad example, the next . . . . well, whomever, you've done your part.

But if you try to make the greatest burgers for the whole world, someone's going to get a bad burger. And it'll all be for naught. Because that's all anyone will talk about is that one bad burger.

In other words, start smaller. Build up your rep. And try again.

My boyfriend's sister is a "supposed" idealist. I find her confused, arrogant, and condescending. Most idealist I meet are just performing an exercise in selfishness.

It has been my experience that most people confuse idealism with fantasy. It's a direct misunderstanding of the world as is and their delusions of how it should be by crap they see on TV. I really dislike the trendy idealists I see today because they are hypocritical and don't seem to realize their ongoings actually undermind what they supposedly support.

I boild it down to "growing pains" induced during ones 20s. By 30 hopefully one snaps out of it and gets with the program. Only then can one affect real change.

Happy Holidays nonetheless!

8-track, there is only GOOD that can come from being an iealist. As long as you understand that having things IDEALLY is impossible and shile still striving towards that goal, is the BEST way to live one's life. It is totaly positive and even though perfection is never achieved, things WILL be better than when you began and that's a GOOD thing.

Being an Idealist is great. Just don't be too disappointed when the world doesn't match your ideal.
