Now, Randy Moss, when he was with the raiders, he could only rack up about 60 catches a year, and alot of other recievers, too. Steve Smith has QB problems and still has close to 80 catches.

When randy moss was with the raiders, he could only rack up about 60 catches a year. Steve Smith had 4 different QB's this year and is still a beast. He gets more than 80 catches a year and is still doing it this year.

Yes...He isn't. That'd be a fella named Moss.

Nah, he's good though but Randy Moss makes catches between defenders all year long and has better hops then most wrs like Plaxico has but Steve Smith is a stud and stronger but randy Moss's hardly drop passes period and has better leaping ability which is why i give Moss the edge of him and I like Steve Smith b/c he plays hard and gives a 100 percent at all times but Moss is a tough wr to beat overall in a comparison of the two or anyone else.

He is a very good receiver, but I would not put him as the best. I would put him behind guys like Chad Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, etc. The number of receptions is due to the system he is in and the fact that they have no running game and no other respectable receivers to throw to.

He is a product of the team trying to get him the ball more than anyone else on the team. If other teams did that, then their numbers would be inflated too.

reasons why is by using the fact I often do not respond to those sort of Questions. Steve Smith regulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in basic terms ask any Bears or Giants fan approximately their 2005 playoff game against the panthers or any witnesses (Rams followers(2003 NFC Championship game)) to the 2003 Panthers season or any Carolina panthers fan. Steve Smith is 5 foot 10 inches and weighs a greenback 80 5 and has made peete, delhomme, wienke, carr and now testeverde seem good if not super. sometimes i ask your self what kinda stats Steve could positioned if he had a Brady or Palmer throwing him the ball. Steve Smith regulations and is the Carolina Offense

No, I say Randy Moss. The Raiders had a lot more problems than just the quarterback.

It would be very interesting to see him with another team, and see what he could achieve then. He has played on a pretty poor offensive team for the past couple of years. Not necessarily the Panthers fault either. Lots of injuries to key players on the offense has made them have to change many of their philosophies.
That being said he is a very selfless, classy guy. He could easily be in the papers whining for a trade or demanding the ball a lot more. Sure he gets lots of catches but hasn't racked up the TD's he would probably expect.

A good reciever is only good when the team he is playing with has a good QB and running game. Without those any Wr would get double covered and suck. I think that WR is one of the hardest positions to judge but T.O. and Moss would be up there in my list and look at who thier QBs are.

Randy moss is better, give it up. Randy moss can be triple covered and come down with the ball. Did you see when he mossed bob sanders and marlin jackass at indy for 55 yards thats one of the best safeties and a corner trying to cover him.

i will say this about randy moss, when he was with the raiders.. he was sandbagging a ton... but i think greg jennings (and no one will agree with me here) is in contention for best reciever in the NFL and here is why...

he gets the YAC!!! he takes the short pass and makes it a long gain! thats what i look for in a good reciever... and is Hester will stop being scared of getting hit and start catching the ball better, he has potential to be the best...

steve smith is very good however and i see your point...

That is debatable. One thing I know for a fact is Steve Smith is not the best fantasy receiver this season.

Hardly. Put Moss, TO, and maybe Harrison above him.
