Reid is just a disgrace, and not even for what you mention.
He spends all his time tilting at windmills and doing PR stunts like his anti-Rush letter, S-CHIP fiasco and insisting we surrender in Iraq, and doesn't get the important business of the nation done in a responsible manner.
I have no doubt if he were up for re-election in 2008, Nevadans would through him out on his butt.

LOL- its funny that people seem to think that this is a liberal vs. conservative or democrat vs. republican thing. They all do it. And its disgusting and wrong, no matter who does it. From Bridges to nowhere, to cricket research, we waste billions of our dollars while running a huge deficit and knowing that we are going to be unable to afford social security and medicare payments in the coming decades. It makes no sense at all, other that from the perspective that they are selling the country down the river in order to get re-elected.

Technically the state has more control over state spending then a senator, but if he's going to bring money back home, it seems like he could find better places to spend it.

You conservatives always crack me up with the ear mark bashing, while ignoring the rampant widespread corruption and wasted money thats a 100 times greater going to Iraq.
Of course, $6 million for eradicating mormon crickets is not simply "research". Bet Blackwater steals more than $6 million a month from taxpayers with inflated expenses purchasing nonexistent goods and services.
