Because they are numpties!!
It's time that we stop helping the terrorists in this way, why the hell are we meddling in the US base at Gitmo in the first place, if the Americans catch them and are happy to keep them, why are we getting involved???
Another case of the tail wagging the dog!!!!
PS to all the people who think the Americans are acting unfairly, think about how we dealt with the 3 i.r.a. terrorists when the SAS found them, they shot them in the bloody head (No need for Gitmo!)
I think the Americans should just shoot them all anyway, these terrorist's don't have any respect for our lives, f**k them!!

Just yesterday some released gitmo prisoners were arrested in Britain. I think they are POW.s and should stay there until all issues in the middle east are resolved.

How would you feel if you had been kidnapped, held for 6 years in prison, tortured to the point of being blinded in one eye and NEVER charged with an offence because you are INNOCENT? Do you think its ok for that to happen to people simply because they are not British.?
How would you feel if it happened to your Father?

some people seem to care more about the rights of people who aren't even citizens of this country, than they do about brits
they are blinkered and biased against their own society - why don't they just tske themselves off to live in one of the countries that these suspected terrorists wouldn't want to go back to?
for some sad people - west, bush, blair, israel - is guaranteed to create an irrational rant.....

If they were guilty of a crime I'm sure the Americans who held them for so long would have done so. None of the other men released from Guantanamo Bay have gone on to offend in this country so why should they. They have agreed to being interviewed by police and if there is a crime to answer to then they will.
I think we have more to worry about with the acquital in Belfast of a "terrorist" of the Omagh bomb on the grounds of lack of evidence due to a police blunder.
