I'm a really good gamer and love playing video games I have an oldschool xbox but no games i play on it seem intresting to me anymore, Ive never had a ps2 and they are really cheap so im thinkin should i get one and play god of war and any other good games it has or should i save up some more money and just get a 360 or ps3 everytime i try to save up for one i end up getting anew psp game or xbox etc etc. Instead of blowing my money would it be worth it to just wait and start playing these really awesome next gen games or check out the ps2 ?

I'm still playing last-gen games, too. If you are looking to invest in a PS2, now is a good time. They have been quite inexpensive since the PS3 was released. The PS2 has a huge selection of games, and the God of War series would be a great place to start. I love the God of War games, they are the best action games I've ever played. I'll recommend a few other good action titles for the PS2: Resident Evil 4 (horror/shooter, but action packed), Devil May Cry 3, Shadow of the Colossus (unique action/adventure), and the Ratchet and Clank series.
I'm waiting to purchase a PS3 until Final Fantasy XIII, Resident Evil 5, and Metal Gear Solid 4 are released.

I have all three next-gen systems and the xbox 360 is the best one with the most fun games.
