Why do male mammals of every species have nipples? Probably has more to do with the fact of the body developing the exact same all over in the womb except for the reproductive organs.
Also, a little gross fact for you, if a man nipples are stimulated enough some men can actually start making milk, just like a woman.

we have them becuase when we are first made we are exactly the same. it's not until our hormones start working that are sex is determined and our physical differences are made in the womb.
