Be honest. Do you think money could make you happier?

Money itself carries no intrinsic happiness and almost no intrinsic value. If I gave you a box with a trillion dollars but you were not permitted to spend it or give it away, it probably not only wouldn't make you happy, it would probably annoy you by taking up a lot of space.

What money is good for is that you can trade it for things. Almost anything. A visit to Maccu Piccu. Meetings with mystics, educators, and the like. Time that you would otherwise have to spend on other things. Or even just a fancy meal or clothes. Saying that no amount of money can make you happy is like saying that you have no need for time, energy, or anything material in this world.

I can think of LOTS of things I could do with money that would please me immensely. I could conduct research projects. I could establish charitable institutions. I could see the world and meet its people. It would be fantastic. And yes, I would be a lot happier, even though I'm pretty happy with things right now.

Money isn't everything... it's just everything you might exchange it for. Which is a LOT! Peace.

Yes. Point simple. You get tired of "just making it" week to week. It's not the money only that could make you happier, it's the less worry, more time for family. I think when you don't have it, you appreciate it more when you do. Think of all the things you could do to make others happy too if you had the money. that's why I am still bustin my a** in school because as it turns out, they were right when they said can't get far without an education and I just don't have the body to be a stripper! :)

Money is the root of all evil according to the Bible.Of course money can make you happier. It also has the ability to make you miserable, sad,and materialistic.Unfortunately our world revolves around it,and that won't change until we do.Can we, or are we capable of changing?. I doubt it.
But the good news is that there is an Age coming, and it's right around the corner in which gold, silver, precious stones, and even money will be worthless in a monetary sense.
I personally look forward to that time.Money, or the lack thereof is one of Satan's most decisive tools (GREED) in leading mankind astray from what is important in life.Let's face it, I don't care if you've got a ton of it, your not taking it into the afterlife. And even if you could it would be useless.Give me riches in "righteous acts", those are what are counted as valuable in God's sight. And they do follow you into the afterlife.

Yes, money makes me happier than any other thing on earth! With money I can make many people , my friends and relations also happy! Because I know the best use of money!

It is also to be stressed, that without money, neither I can live nor I can make my dependents live, happily!

In fact with money, I can do wonders and can spend it such a way I would be named everywhere as the first and the best in making the best of its use!

It is undeniably true that without money more people have lost their happiness than who are happy with it!

It is also true that money gives you strength and confidence to live with hope, coupled with happiness which if used in the best way multiplies your happiness!

When I see a common man hits a lottery or jackpot of million dollars the flash I see in his face is worth more than the money itself, yes that's the indicator of HAPPINESS !

I know lack of money to get the essentials (like food, rent, electric, etc) makes me unhappy. I think my answer would be money makes life easier but not nessesaryly happier. Look at some of the famous people who have tons of money and they aren't happy with their lives.

Back in the early '60s when I was young and idealistic I would have said money is not all that important. Forty seven years later I now know that money is VERY important. You can not do anything without it.

It amazes me that people who say they don't need money have parents or grand parents that are loaded with it. Off course you don't need money of your own if Momma and Daddy are funding you.

It is not money that is evil. It is the love of money that is evil.
I really wish someone had told me when I was younger not to fall for the lie that money is not important. At nearly age 66 my wife and I are still working because we never accumulated enough money to retire.

Any one thinks money is not important...........just project yourself to age 68 or so and imagine living on Social Security only......after all money is not important is it.

No, honestly! its not money make you happy or me, ist only ourselves in our soul.
Money can make people more unhappy and get more problems, bcs most of poeple who have money doesnt know what to make with money, really uselful to themselves and others, that's why rich ppl has problems with drink and drugs , for example.

Money can't be a boss or owner of ourselves, only a instrument to reach something uselful to our soul and help others.
And more money than necessary is misery and vanity, doesnt make anyone more happier...

I am very with the money that i have, not much, but enough.... There ppl in earth that only live with a dolar a day, knowing that should i be happy everyday???
