us! (Does it maybe tear the protective tough membrane, or how exactly then would it be dangerous??)

the soft spot is as tough as a piece of tent canvas,so you shouldnt need to worry

My son has smacked it on the crib railings a couple of times, he's almost 7 mos. old though. I think if the baby is acting fine you should be okay.

Well, you have to be careful because it can damage the baby's brain. Too much pressure on a soft spot can cause the brain to bleed... And that's not good.

Take her to the doctor just to have her checked out to be on the safe side.

If this was an accident, then most likely it wasn't "hard enough" to cause harm. It is very difficult to "accidently" do this. If you are concerned, take him to a dr.

the worst damage is death. Stop doing things that are dangerous.

Ask a doctor. If you think you have injured your baby, take him to emergency immediately and don't wait for an answer from this site. Geez..............
