A teenager lost her contact lens. She fruitlessly searched for an hour to no avail. Mom went to search for herself and returned in a just a few moments with the lens in hand. The teen ask, "Mom how did you manage to find it?" "We weren't looking for the same thing," she replied. "You were looking for a small peice of plastic and I was looking for $150."

I completely lost a lens at the bathroom counter once.....thought it was gone....got a new one. Two weeks later i found it all dried up (i have soft lenses) and stuck to the underside of one of the drawers in the bathroom.....no idea how it got there....it was all crusty and stuff......was kinda nasty.

(side note) Why am i the only dude that posted in here? haha.

Do what your contact lens optician advised you when you first had contact lenses... In the event of any problems go to them immediately. They'll look in your eye and check if the piece is in there. It might have been torn before you put the lens in or it could have come out when you removed the lens. The only way you'll know is to have the optician check. If the piece of lens is still in there then yes, it could cause problems. Just go to your lens provider, you may have to pay for the check but your eyes are priceless and irreplaceable so take care of them!

LOL-Good point!
Yes, I have. When I wore 'hard' contacts, I lost one on the sink one morning, I couldn't find it anywhere. I finally had to go to work, so I left a note on the bathroom door to not dare open it till I got home-good thing we had 2. lol Later I found it between the sink and the basin edge, though I was sure I'd looked there earlier!---Luvs

That is the truth. If she had paid for them she would have found it. I have the ones you throw away at the end of each day. And they only cost 50 cents each. I would just get a new one.

Oh yes I have! The soft lenses dehydrate into fish scales and you have to soak them a long time to restore them to "contact lenses" again.

When my son went to CT, he left his lenses in the case on the window sill, they froze! He had to defrost them to wear them again.

That is a good one!!!.........I don't wear contacts for that reason, I would lose them and never find them again....Therefore, I wear glasses, and I lose them about four times a day.......

That's great and probably true!

I don't wear them. I'm not sticking anything in my eye unless it's my elbow.
