Has anyone told you just how special you are this Christmas?
I think Christmas has lost all its meaning. Its who has the best gift, who spent the most money etc. I just wanted to tell everyone on Yahoo answers, you are all special. If no one has said that to you let me be the first. I wish EVERYONE peace, health, and love during this special holiday season. Cheers!!

That is so kind of you.. This Christmas has definitely lost its meaning for me... I am missing my best friend terribly. She passed away 1-6-07 and I miss her everyday. Christmas was her favorite time of year and I feel very guilty for even trying to enjoy it because she is not here. She will forever be missed. My family has suffered many tragedies this year. Thank god for my children because they are what keeps me going.

Thank you so much for your kind words. You put a smile on my face without even knowing me..

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas. I wish there were more people in this world like you, this world would be so much better having people as positive as you... :-)

My Christmas is going to be special because its my baby girls first Christmas. I'm so excited.
Her father has unfortunately poopooed on some of my spirit, because he doesn't see any reason to do anything since she won't remember it. I hurt so bad for her, knowing that he thinks nothing of her firsts....breaks my heart. I laid in bed til 3 this morning crying. I wish I hadn't of said anything or invited him now, that way she and I could of just enjoyed a quiet sweet holiday w/o the cynicism. I also wish that someone would explain to him that his none efforts to be in her life are doing more harm than good. That if he can't give 100% then he shouldn't give any and let someone who wants to be a father step up and be the greatest man in her life.

Yes, they have I have a wonderful and very dear friend and we are close enough to feel that we were twins in a past life and she gave me herself and her mom, sister and brother as a gift and now I have a family again, after losing my own parents 15 years ago. This is the most special Christmas I can remember ever having.

I know I am special. I always have been.
At Christmas I become more special by becoming more ordinary. This is a very special way of becoming special and can only be used by special people who have perfected the way of becoming special ordinarily.
Those who wish to become special are unable to become special because their desire holds them back. If they continue to try to become special they will end up becoming a hair stylist, at the very least, or in the case of seriously obsessives, will become like Victoria Beckham!!!!

Edgar Guest

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"A man is at his finest
towards the finish of the year;
He is almost what he should be
when the Christmas season is here;
Then he's thinking more of others
than he's thought the months before,
And the laughter of his children
is a joy worth toiling for.
He is less a selfish creature than
at any other time;
When the Christmas spirit rules him
he comes close to the sublime.

When it's Christmas man is bigger
and is better in his part;
He is keener for the service
that is prompted by the heart.
All the petty thoughts and narrow
seem to vanish for awhile
And the true reward he's seeking
is the glory of a smile.
Then for others he is toiling and
somehow it seems to me
That at Christmas he is almost
what God wanted him to be.

If I had to paint a picture of a man
I think I'd wait
Till he'd fought his selfish battles
and had put aside his hate.
I'd not catch him at his labors
when his thoughts are all of pelf,
On the long days and the dreary
when he's striving for himself.
I'd not take him when he's sneering,
when he's scornful or depressed,
But I'd look for him at Christmas
when he's shining at his best.

Man is ever in a struggle
and he's oft misunderstood;
There are days the worst that's in him
is the master of the good,
But at Christmas kindness rules him
and he puts himself aside
And his petty hates are vanquished
and his heart is opened wide.
Oh, I don't know how to say it,
but somehow it seems to me
That at Christmas man is almost
what God sent him here to be."

Christmas is always very special to me and my family, i accept your warm greetings and reciprocate them to you and your family.
think for a moment of your happiest Christmas ever and insert that vision and feeling into an imaginary heart shaped, diamond encrusted jewel box, take a peek inside the jewel box from time to time if you ever feel low.
i have such a box with many compartments, my mothers love lays in one, my first ever pet still plays in another, and yes my most special Christmas is in another, and within my timeless box no "meanings" have ever been lost.

Thanks for the sentiment, but I know I'm special, and I think Christmas is, too! Things are special if you make them special--our family will be together, there will be good food, friends, presents, and lots of laughing--and hopefully some snow! That's all pretty special to me!
