Unfortunately, you're in a Catch 22 situation. To try what you propose makes you guilty of hubris, which means you've already failed.

What a wonderful question!

First of all we should meditate that what likes (good) and dislikes (evil) are? Our existence and this nature are based upon duality/relativity. Duality is not bad, if we can understand what it is and what the purpose is behind. Accept that both are there, and will always be there. Likes gives us pleasure, which one want to repeat again. On the other hand dislikes gives us pain, which one tries to avoid all the time. And that's how we exhaust our good and bad Karma, which gives us pain and pleasure via good and bad situations. Two aspects of duality (pain and pleasure, birth and death, happiness and sadness, love and hate, day and night) go hand in hand with each other. If we try to grab one aspect of duality, other is given FREE with it, because system wants create balance. If I like Red color, I automatically dislike rest of the colors. If I love (less hate) my son, automatically it implies that I hate (less love) other kids and so on…

Problem is when we IDENTIFY with likes and dislikes, and makes THEM stronger than US. The likes and dislikes becomes the owner, and we are the slave - getting dragged by them here and there like a dog. So we should always aware and keep witnessing (Sakshi) this process. Don’t fight with it, because it is the base of our existence. Just let it happen and pass, without creating identity with it.

For example, while watching a movie, one gets associated (identified and gets conditioned) with the false environment created by the movie. When one witnesses that it's projector’s beam, which is making false impression on the inert screen (and not onto itself), s/he gets disassociate itself with the false environment and becomes established in his own true-self.

It is extremely difficult as that's how the material nature and the activities of living entities are controlled by the Maya potency on the Lord.
By scholarly discussion or material knowledge we can never come to any solution as that will lead to more frustration and delusion.
We need to attract special mercy from the Lord in order to cross over all these.

Lord Krisna says -
daivi hy esa guna-mayi
mama maya duratyaya
mam eva ye prapadyante
mayam etam taranti te

This divine energy of Mine, consisting of the three modes of material nature, is difficult to overcome. But those who have surrendered unto Me can easily cross beyond it.(BG 7.14 . Translated by HDG Sirla Prabhupada)

When, the Lord has an answer we should simply accept it without speculation and surrender our false ego to make our own mental concocted theory.

The good & the evil is in the duality of the mind.

When you become no mind you are beyond & there exists no duality & relativity.

This can be attained only through meditation.
