Yes and no. The reality of a thing is not reverse-impacted at all by whether or not you or I believe it. It is what it is, independently of us. That said, we may elect to behave in some way based on whether we believe it or not, or know of it, including we may elect to destroy it. So reality may be affected by our belief or non-belief, but only in a consequential manner and due to our behavior, not our belief itself.

Usually it's just a matter of indoctrination/culture. 3/4 of the global population will carry on the beliefs of their parents in some denomination/format. It's highly psychological. It's more of a matter of a different view of reality the different cultures take on.

It may very well affect how you perceive things in our present reality,or age of the flesh as I perfer to call it.However, your disbelief will suddenly turn into BELIEF after your flesh body dies, and your spiritual body returns to The Father. You see, you will then have all 100% of your intellectual capacity in your spiritual body. You don't have it now because God never intended that you have it in your flesh body.Even scientist will tell you that humans only use approx. 10-15% of their brain capacity.Why.?For starters, with that intellectual capacity comes the knowledge (or recollection) of the previous Earth Age.When we were all in spiritual bodies here on Earth for millions of years.Secondly, we had to be born innocent without any prior knowledge of that first Earth age. Why?. Because satan messed that one up for alot of us. And rather than destroy the one third of the children that followed satan during the rebellion, God decided to create this Age of the flesh. In which, we would all be born innocent of woman to once again be tested of satan. And, yes you guessed it... to see if we would repeat that mistake. How are you doing so far?. Have I lost you?I hope not because your very soul depends on what your doing here right now during your lifetime in the flesh. That my friend is the true reality that you will only understand when your life here in the flesh is over.
Your belief here does affect "that reality". The one that you can't remember because of your earthly constraits and limitations on your intellectual abilities.Too deep for you?Or can't you be bothered to read it for yourself in the Bible. It is our "how to" handbook that God gave us to help guide us down the right path. There are no unsolved mysteries in heaven, God knows all and see all.
To paraphrase it: "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Your perception is your reality, and since your beliefs affect how you perceive the universe, beliefs affect reality.

They only affect your own personal reality which is very different than "actual" reality, but often much more important.

yup. Good example of that would be the mom off that movie "Carrie". When you truly believe in something it can effect the way you see the world. Good and bad.
