Hayden sounds more like a girl's name to me, while I know that Aidan is a male name, but they don't sound terribly different.

I think of Hayden more as a female name, so I'd go with Aidan. But right now Aidan is a popular name for babies, just another thing to consider that it won't be too original. So in that case Hayden may be the better choice!
Good luck!

My opinion? Well, I don't like *either* but maybe my consideration on the subject might help you make up your mind . . . .
I'm not sure where you live but in some parts of the UK, the 'H' sound in some regional accents is often 'dropped' - so you may well find that Hayden becomes 'Ayden anyway!
Will you tire of spelling it out for people? Will you mind if people write 'Aiden' instead of 'Hayden'?
I went to school (in the late 70's/early 80's) with a Hayden and he was the only person I've ever known with that name. He was a really weak little kid who tended to get picked on. I was at Uni with an Aiden - again the only one I've ever known - and he was a spotty, bottle-glass specs idiot with bad teeth. And when you've known someone with those names who've had a less-than-impressive impression upon you, it's hard to like either.
Go with your heart - he's your child and you who'll be calling him in for tea!

Hayden. I like both names, but they're both incredibly popular. All spellings combined, Aidan is the most common boy's name out there. Hayden is less common, and I love the fact that it's the last name of classical composer, Josef Haydn. It has history behind it, unlike a lot of other Aiden rhyming names.
So yes, my vote is Hayden/Haydn.

I love both names but personally I'd go with Hayden because it's less popular/common than Aidan.
