I gave my car back to bank and after it was picked up I realized my wheel locks for my other car were in it. When I called the tow company they told me it's $75 to get my personal stuff back. I could of sworn that there is a law in Florida that prohibits tow companies to charge for this.

Why are they still charging the fee if it's against the law? When I confronted them about the fee, they told me to call my lawyer. PRICKS!

I have done some searching and read the law here: http://election.dos.state.fl.us/laws/05laws/ch_2005-137.pdf The law addresses towing and impounding, but not really repossession. Since the vehicle is no longer yours, the protections in the law do not apply.

I can find no law.

ya that sounds fairly typical of the attitude down there. People think up here in MA we are rude but man after visiting FL a few times i am going to be glad when i sell my property there and dont have to do buisness down there any more. Its like all the old grumpy annoying people from MA with bad attitudes got expeled from MA and all moved to FL. Even town hall is useless any time i call up to ask what form i need to use for things i am told i need to contact a lawyer lol. At lease here in MA when i call town hall and ask what form i need they tell me what form to use and will usually say its available on the web or that it costs x $ to submit.

However once you turn a car back in to the bank you no longer own it so its accualy nice of them to allow you access to the verhicle at all.
