well yes and no. I think it obviously upset you so you were right to talk about it to your manager. I think maybe breaking down and crying was a slight overreaction. I don't think the guy was trying to demean you or anything. Its sounds kind of like normal guy talk. One guy is expressing sexual frustration and the other guy was offering up some ideas. Ultimately it was a compliment. So yes you were correct to talk to your boss because it made you uncomfortable. At the same time when you are alone with your girlfriends, I am sure you talk about what guys you think are attractive or "shaggable". So keep in mind that they didn't know you were there and they weren't say anything bad. Just that he maybe thought you and the lad would be a good match

You did not overreact one bit, a woman should never be objectified unless, she is an object of affection and love. Work is just that work , you don't go there to meet guys or girls, you go to do your job although sometimes romances can start but definitely not in this case. Make sure that the 30 year old gets a talking to, like seriously how old does a person have to be before they realize that what they say is offensive and disturbing. In the end I think it's awesome that you didn't let this garbage slide and stood up for yourself and showed that you DON'T TAKE ****! Especially from ignorant A-holes.

I don't think you overreacted at all! What he said was sexual harassment and you are well within your rights. Add your age in to the mix and he was COMPLETELY inappropriate!
Keep your chin up - you've done nothing wrong and don't deserve to work in that environment!

if it is normally like this at work and you normally take it well and it was just because you were having a bad day then maybe
but i would say anything that makes you feel uncomfortable needs sorting out and you needed to get it off your chest
don't worry about it too much you were right to feel bad about it

no, you're not over-reacting. that's disgusting and I'm glad that your boss is going to stick up for you!! that might have caused a really difficult situation between you and this other 'desperate' guy!

what happened was indeed sexual harrassment and the offenders should be fired. In fact, I would insist on it, or sue the company for allowing it. Just talking to the guy isn't going to do anything, he needs to be fired so he learns, hopefully, to never do it again.

If you feel guilty about it you must have the answer yourself, but it does sound a bit out of order what he said.
