100 ppl small basement can only afford like streamers. what can i put on the floors without ruining the carpet or walls we are renting this house. the rooom seems so boring right now please help with ideas?

No real offense but 100 people might hardly notice decorating, and certainly fit tightly into your house.
Without knowing your budget, or what will be served, IE: Food, Drink, PLASTIC sheeting is probably an option, but a liability as well. Walls are pretty much at the mercy of the guests.
My personal opinion is, if guests concern themselves with any manner of decoration, they are missing the point. Have them all dress in Reds and Greens?

Get some small Christmas trees and set in a couples places as a center piece. Buy scented candles that smell like cookies or pies out of the oven. Try going to a thrift store or the 99 cent store and get a few throw rugs . Red, Green, Gold,Silver, any will do. Buy some X-mas bags and tape them to the walls. They look wonderful and you would be surprised how your place will look. Buy big garbage bags for the clean up after wards. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

This is why I LOVE "The Dollar Store"....you can buy 'disposable' party decorations galore there, including table clothes, plates, napkins, centerpieces, candles, banners...all kinds of things! I actually bought everything for my 150 people wedding at the Dollar Store (don't tell!) and it looked like a million bucks! When the party is over, you can simply toss everything in the trash. (They even have little rugs and stuff to save your floor)....
